I know, you wait nearly a year for a post from me, then two come at once. But this one really has got me quite flummoxed, so I thought I'd share it with you.
With my previous blog entry finished and off into cyberspace, I still had my Zazzle store open in another tab. Just as a matter of interest, I clicked onto the Wales category, then ordered the array of goods by 'most popular'. I basically wanted to see what people loved best, in all of my catalogue of Welsh goodies.
I expected perhaps a nice scenic view of a beautiful landscape, maybe a close up of a daffodil or Y Ddraig Goch. I know that I see those postcards flashing through quite regularly.

... I mean it's very lovely and all, and I'm profoundly grateful to anyone who bought one. But it's not what I'd pick out as the best item in my entire Welsh collection.
Moreover, my mind is running overtime imagining who would wear a belt buckle depicting the entrance to a dungeon. Said mind is lingering in contemplation in the vicinity of Fifty Shades of Grey.
After all, this isn't my only Chirk Castle belt buckle. There are others with views of the castle itself, or landscape looks over the prize-winning gardens. No-one's bought a single one of those. Hence I deduce that I haven't been visited by fans of Roger Mortimer or Chirk Castle aficionados.
Who else might want a belt buckle of a dungeon? Any thoughts?
And once again, if you did treat yourself, you have my double thanks. Once for the commission and again for the delicious pondering now inspired.
